It has been a long time since sitting down to write something here in my blog. I know I have let many of you down these past few months. My apologies. However, you might want to know it was a time for me to think about a lot of things. And now that 2010 is behind us and we look forward to another new year, I want to share some thoughts with you, things that might make you better, or even change the way you look at things. Random for sure; relevant, maybe; meaningful, only you can answer that.
Mind, Body, Heart and Soul: These are the four keys things we all need to take better care of this year. You must never stop learning and using your mind. Exercise your body so it is the best it can be. Love often. And do not leave your soul behind.
Patience is a virtue: This is something that takes a lot of time to cultivate. As a parent, you learn this by dealing with your children. But if you do not have kids, you have to focus that much more on this key attribute to get you through the day.
Laughter is really a good thing: I think this helps you be a better person - laughing sometimes at the world and what we are dealt with each and every day. However, this does not mean you are never serious - no you just need to take a little time to laugh. It will allow you the opportunity to overcome those hurdles.
I am looking forward to a new year. I have already been asked to speak at four events, and plan on growing that piece of my business in the coming year. We plan on contacting all our clients to ensure they are happy with what we are providing and if they would consider sharing our company with their peers. I want to hire back two employees that we lost last year, so I have a strong determination to grow Topaz again in 2011. And I plan on focusing more on my mind, body, heart and soul. I think that will be a good thing.
